В книге Алана Вуда "Сталин и сталинизм" (Routledge, 1990) фраза про соху и бомбу приписана... самому Сталину: As Stalin himself remarked, he found the country with the wooden plough and left her with the atomic bomb. But all this was accomplished at a dreadful price ... (см. здесь)
